BY GOD'S GRACE?

This phrase has been loosely used by Christians that its meaning is being watered down:

By God's grace, I found a parking lot during peak hours.
By God's grace, I manage to scrape through my exams.
By God's grace, I managed to arrive on the dot for Church Service.
By God's grace, I.......

It sounds good to said it and doesn't mean a thing at all. If these Christians were asked to explain in details how God's grace was involved in those situations, they will be speechless. If a Christian takes more than 3 seconds to begin to answer, it is a sure thing he/she dosen't understand what he/she was talking about.

God's grace is only applicable to our character development into His likeness. The precise usage is:

By God's grace, I was patient for the availability of a parking lot during peak hours.
By God's grace, I have done well in my exams through my preparation programme.
By God's grace, I have been punctual 30 mins ahead for Church Service.
By God's grace, I.......

WHERE IS THE CHURCH?

A number of Christians and non-Christians commented that the churches in Singapore were slow to respond to bring relief to people suffered in the recent tsunami tragedy. How do Christians define "Church"?

Congregational level?
Denominational level?
National level?
Worldwide level?

The Christians in the affected places who responded immediately in relief work represents all the above.

The Singapore Christians in Governmental level, SAF level, Humanitarian organisation level and other levels who have responded immediately represents all the above. So where is the Church beside Sundays?

Christians should not have any problem going places as they will meet fellow brothers and sisters for the first time. Don’t know why many Christians are travelling for their own pleasure and not travelling for the pleasure to meet those for the first time who are in the worldwide family of God?

THE CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE

In regard to the recent Tsumani tragedy, Christians should not seek to understand why God allowed such circumstances, but seek to know God in the circumstances. No one can understand the ways of God, but one can know His nature.
