PETRA
It means “rock” and the usage was taken when Jesus said “Upon this rock I will build my church”. A Christian Band from the U.S.. Formed in 1972 and still going strong until today. Unlike other bands that come and go, this one has the next generation of musicians taking over. Isn’t that biblical? Their songs cover issues of life and doctrine from Genesis to Revelation in a stroke. That is why I like their songs – deep and wide, and not like the songs of other Christian artiste – shallow and narrow. I believe that if any person listens to their songs, they will have a good grasp of the Christian faith. Who will give Jesus a name like "Grave Robber" without having a good grasp of the Bible?

PRIORITIES OVERIDE OPPORTUNITIES
Unless one defines the priorities in life in the light of God’s Word, the many opportunities to be involved in other things not complementary to the defined priorities will take away our time and energy. One will be tossed about aimlessly in life and finally come into disillusionment. One of the priorities of Jesus’ life is: “Come, follow me and I will MAKE you fishers of men.” This is one missing priority of many Christians today. Just guess how many Christians are fishing today or are they fishes being fished by the things of the world?
