THE LITTLE THINGS IN LIFE
While travelling in the train yesterday, I saw 2 ladies gave up their seats when 2 elderly woman came into the train. They touched my heart. There were a number of guys sitting nearby and did nothing. Hopeless! Any girl who falls for them is also hopeless. There was once I saw a girl about 20 years old did not give way to an elderly woman when going for a seat. Her boyfriend was with her. Their relationship is hopeless. If they were to know Jesus, this is one of the many little things in life that He will bring about a change. How many Christians do really understand that Jesus is interested in the little things that will shine for him?
BEING CONSISTENT
Being consistent in all things speaks volume about a person's integrity. In a non Biblical perspective, many are crying "foul" in the recent Steve Chia saga. What's the big deal! Can the photos be any worse than those found in the magazines of those maga news stands. If such magazines are allowed in public, that means the politicians can purchase them without any fear of their integrity being questioned when it was they who allow such materials to be legalised in the first place. Finding a FHM in a minister's office should not be in the headlines at all. Need to report to the Police? This world is full of inconsistency. But God is consistent all the time.
"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. AND this gospel of the kindgom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:9-14
It is GOD who will make things happen in the "darkest" moment of the Church. Current perception of many Christians is that the preaching of the gospel will be completed in peace time - high point of the Church. God is consistent. Didn't salvation accomplish in the "darkest" moment - on the cross - of Jesus' life?
GOD THE LIMIT
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" Deuteronomy 6:5
God has shown us the way to reach Him 24/7. Nothing short of "all". We can never go beyond God because He is "all". The whole universe is within Him. He is the limit. But somehow, there are many who are happy going after something or someone lesser.
